You probably know Patrick Janelle by his wildly popular Instagram handle, @aguynamedpatrick. This charming, young graphic designer and man about town is famous for taking incredible photos on his iPhone and for his stunning backyard parties. Janelle also happens to be a MakeSpace user. When things started to heat up this summer, Patrick ordered his bin full of backyard decor so he could trick out his Nolita apartment. We sent someone along to take photos. Check it out!

In honor of the 2014 FIFA World Cup, we decided to find out exactly how many soccer balls can fit in a MakeSpace bin. We went to the Adidas store in SoHo to pick up a few of the official World Cup balls and then did some rigorous mathematical calculations before determining that exactly 6.53 soccer balls can fit in a MakeSpace bin.

A funny thing about the internet is that it’s not very easy to get a sense of how just how big things are in the real world. We want to make sure that our customers never have to wonder about the size of our green bins, so every week, we’ll be experimenting to learn just how much of a thing we can fit into a MakeSpace bin.

Check it out! Friends of eBay Director Justin Stanwix gave us a shoutout on Fox Business this Monday. He and Deirdre Bolton both seem to love our brand of cloud storage. Pointing to UberRUSH, the company’s new carrier service, Stanwix suggests that stuff management is the future of retail  He told Bolton, “People want things, like, now and on-demand. It’s life on-demand and the cloud of stuff.”
