It’s St. Patrick’s Day, so naturally we filled a MakeSpace bin with Lucky Charms and a lot of milk. Watch the video inside!

A lot can fit in a MakeSpace bin. 164 Dos Toros burritos. 157 packets of Top Ramen. 63 bottles of Sriracha. A Fourth of July party’s worth of PBRs to chase it all down. Or perhaps, a more reasonable one MakeSpace Graphic Designer.

Last week, our friends over at Dos Toros sent us a pallet of burritos to find out once and for all just how many would fit in a MakeSpace bin. After a number of experiments involving gratuitous amounts of carnitas, pollo, and carne asada, we arrived at the answer.

We finally decided to find out how many of New York City’s favorite breakfast food will fit in a MakeSpace bin, and because our office is located so close to the Lower East Side institution that is Russ & Daughters, we decided to source these tasty rounds of doughy goodness from them.

For all you college students out there, we decided to find out just how many packets of Top Ramen fit in a MakeSpace bin.

You know already know we love the Fourth of July. But we can’t stop honoring this holiday fueled by booze and barbecue; last week, we decided to see how many jars of creamy, delicious mayo would fit in a MakeSpace bin.

Whether you call them otter pops, freezer pops, or something else entirely, you’re definitely familiar with these classic NYC summer treats. Our office is in Chinatown, so we went to the nearby supermarket New Kam Man to source these beautiful looking pops

In honor of the 2014 FIFA World Cup, we decided to find out exactly how many soccer balls can fit in a MakeSpace bin. We went to the Adidas store in SoHo to pick up a few of the official World Cup balls and then did some rigorous mathematical calculations before determining that exactly 6.53 soccer balls can fit in a MakeSpace bin.

A funny thing about the internet is that it’s not very easy to get a sense of how just how big things are in the real world. We want to make sure that our customers never have to wonder about the size of our green bins, so every week, we’ll be experimenting to learn just how much of a thing we can fit into a MakeSpace bin.
