The DIY experts at P.S. – I Made This are some of our favorite MakeSpace users. These crafty ladies can make anything beautiful, and they definitely know how to make a small space shine. Recently, they’ve started to feel a little cramped in their Nolita studio, so they called in MakeSpace

Shake Shack Culinary Director Mark Rosati is the genius responsible for the restaurant’s incredible menu and one-of-a-kind frozen custard flavors like “Waffles & Bacon” and “Coffee and Donuts.” When we heard that Mark was going to be using MakeSpace, we knew we had to interview him. He was kind enough to take a minute out of his busy schedule to chat with us about everything Shack. Read on for the inside scoop!

Getting married is one of life’s happiest moments. Figuring out what to do with wedding keepsakes and duplicate appliances in a tiny New York City apartment is not. That’s why newlyweds Sarah and Evan Cheng signed up for MakeSpace.

Yes, you read that right; they’re selling parking spaces for $1 million

Moving to New York City sucks. First, you have to figure out how to get yourself here. Then you have to figure out how to get your stuff here. Then you have to find a place to stay temporarily. Then you have to navigate the insane NYC housing market and find an apartment. And then, after all that, you still have to get all of your stuff from your temporary home to your new, permanent home. At which point you’ve basically moved three times. We have good news. There’s a better way, and professional photographer Ike Edeani has found it!

We’ve been obsessed with Patrick Janelle’s Instagram this summer. Burgers. Parks. Skylines. Cappucinos. Staycations. Vacations. He’s pretty much the quintessential New York Instagrammer. So naturally, when he signed up for MakeSpace, we knew we had to make something happen. With a shared love of burgers and parks, we decided to have Patrick curate a bin of his New York City Summer Park Essentials.

We’re so, so excited to have Diana Yen of Jewels of New York as a featured user here at MakeSpace. The food stylist, cookbook author, and business woman let us take photos of one of her beautiful bins and her Instagram-Famous bunny, Cleo! (Cute bunny pics after the jump)

This week we’re partnering with our friends over at The Sill to bring a little green to your New York City apartment. We’ll be giving away a few tiny succulents and one Philodendron.

We’re excited to announce that we’ve partnered with our friends at Goodwill to make do-gooding even easier.

What a pleasant surprise to open AM New York this morning only to find ourselves featured in the business section! 

Nothing’s better than grilling on a rooftop, drinking beers with friends, and enjoying the fireworks over the East River (Brooklyn and Queens represent).
