East Boston Storage

What used to be a series of islands in Boston Harbor, is now known as the East Boston. The islands were connected with landfills to create the present-day neighborhood, which also is the site of Logan International Airport. There is plenty to do in the area, ranging from arts & entertainment, to outdoor activities, to shopping. There are six community gardens, where local residents can rent a plot of land for a nominal annual fee, and plant what they want. Constitution beach, known as Shay’s Beach to locals, is a perfect retreat during the summer. History enthusiasts can visit any of eight historical sites, including Baker Congregational Church, the United States Lightship Nantucket, and the Donald McKay House. Rino’s Place and Taqueria Jalisco are local favorites for authentic Italian and Mexican fare. Unique to East Boston is the presence of a thoroughbred racing community. Suffolk Downs is the area’s popular racing track, but also hosts an impressive resort for visitors.
